Editorial Review for Embassy Suites – by Cory Jane Birkett
In Short
In 1984, the first Embassy Suites location debuted in Overland Park, Kan. Today, the property's luxury accommodations make it an ideal hotel for conferences, special events and weddings. All hotel rooms are spacious two-room suites that include a separate living area with a sofa bed and desk, a private bedroom, two televisions, a wet bar, a refrigerator and a coffeemaker. Guests may also attend a nightly reception with beverages.

My husband and I decided to get away from the kids, so we planned a 1 night stay and had the best time from 5 pm-8 am. We got there with free drinks for 2 hrs and nachos. There was a workout room for 18+ adults, an indoor pool and a beautiful view of the lobby from every side of the inner part of the hotel. Now for the room. When we walked in, there was a huge flat screen with a large ottoman that fits under the tv stand. There was a large couch that converts to a bed and a desk with hotel information, etc. Then, there is a hallway that has an area with fridge, microwave, sink, coffeepot and a mirror. In the bathroom, There is a spacious shower, with sweet, smelling toiletries and plenty of space to move around. Then there is a door that closes off the bedroom. In the bedroom, there is a king sized bed, with 5 squishy pillows and smooth blankets. Also, there is a large, flat screen, armoir, iron & board, a nice radio/alarm clock, a sink, and convenient lights that are located at each bedside. I was very surprised at the comfort that was offered at this hotel, since I live in the area and never really noticed it. There is an Omaha Steakhouse located at the main level and I wouldn't recommend it for the price. my husband enjoyed the steak and their merlot, but i didn't really think it was worth going. Other than that, I had the best time, in a long time and will be going to this hotel sometime this year. i loved it, and i suggest you go and find out for yourself.
Pros: everything
Cons: the little kids waiting in line for happy hour, too many kids in the pool, saturdays are crazy

I had to stay there for two weeks. The place was nice. The best part is the manager's reception they have every night. Free drinks for 2 hours. Bed was comfortable.
