Hickory's oldest theatre is still the BEST in several areas. The best popcorn, the most comfortable seats, the most personable staff, and by far the best VALUE. Unfortunately, being the oldest, the theatre shows its age. However, the theatre is much cleaner now than just a few years ago and is wearing its age much better than the Crown theatre. The Carmike surpasses all three in cleanliness, but is also the newest. The Carolina is a pleasurable, nostalgic theatre experience. Wait a month or so for the "first run" movies to show up here, save yourself a "fortune" and enjoy the area's best popcorn!
Pros: customer service, popcorn, comfortable seats
Cons: age of facility, cleanliness
